The Nemesio Antúnez Commission promotes the incorporation of art in public infrastructure as a way of broadening people's everyday experience and bringing artistic creation closer to high-traffic spaces. Through its work, Santiago Airport, Chile, houses works that engage with travel, movement and collective memory, integrating art into the airport space not as ornament, but as an active part of the journey, architecture and cultural experience of those who inhabit and pass through it.
