VERTICAL GARDENS

VERTICAL GARDENS

The vertical gardens of Santiago Airport were designed to integrate nature, identity and sustainability into the travel experience.

Their visual patterns represent symbologies of indigenous peoples such as Diaguita, Selknam, Aymara, Mapuche, Kawésqar and Rapa Nui. With more than 1,500 m² and nearly 72,000 plants, these interventions contribute to CO₂ capture and transform the airport environment into a green welcome, connecting biodiversity, culture and public space.
